What do I need to wear, if I were to attend Drumheller Community Church’s Sunday service?

You can wear anything that you are comfortable in. Those who attend our church wear a wide array of clothing options. Some come in jeans and a t-shirt, some wear casual or dressy shorts, others wear jogging pants, others wear dress pants and a dress shirt, while there are a couple of people who wear full suits and dresses. We encourage you to come as you are. No need to get dressed up for us, but if you want to get dressed up, you will not feel left out either.

Do I need to pay anything to attend Sunday service?

No money is required to attend Drumheller Community Church. At the Welcome Desk, we have a box where people give their tithes and offerings, but it is not a requirement for you to be able to attend DCC’s Sunday service.

Can children come to Drumheller Community Church’s service? Will there be programs available, for them to attend?

Children can definitely attend Drumheller Community Church and are very much welcomed!!!

We have a Sunday morning program available to kids from ages 4 - 12, which runs after the worship (singing) is done. Also, if you have a baby or child below the age of 4, we have a Nursery, with a change table and microwave, available to anyone who needs it.

Every second week, we also run a Kidz Club. Please click on the “Programs” and then “Kidz Club” tab for more information.

May I sit wherever I want to sit?

Yes, please sit wherever you feel the most comfortable. We have pew chairs, which are very cushy and comfortable, so your bum will thank you. :) If you have specific needs for seating, and have questions, please don’t hesitate to ask our greeters (people welcoming you, as you came in) for help.

Will I be required to sing or dance or do anything “weird”?

If you would like to sing, you can definitely sing along. The words will be projected on the screen at the front. If you do not want to sing, you will not be made to sing. If you want to dance, then go ahead and dance, but if you don’t want to, then you won’t have to. Overall, you will not be forced to do anything that you are not comfortable with. Also, if people are standing, at any point, to sing or speak with others, you do not have to do it, but if you want to, then please do.

Will anything be expected of me?

No, definitely not. We want everyone to come as they are. No need to be someone different, while attending church. Also, if you come once, you will not be expected to attend every Sunday after that or anything. We will not force you to volunteer or do anything you don’t want to do. Please know that we want you to feel safe, welcomed and at home at Drumheller Community Church. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to speak with our greeters, Pastors, or anyone from our church, so we can help you in any way.

YOU WILL NOT BURN UP WHEN WALKING INTO DRUMHELLER COMMUNITY CHURCH

This may seem like an odd statement, but there are so many people that have expressed that they cannot step foot into a church, since they will burn up. No matter what you have done, no matter what you are currently doing, or no matter how bad you think your past has been, GOD LOVES YOU!! We aim to show God’s love through us. We encourage you to come as you are! No one is perfect and we are all sinners, saved by God’s grace!

Please contact us if you have any further questions.
